14th Annual AGE Awards Dinner

The evening of Friday, April 18th was a fun, festive and energetic evening as we celebrated our five outstanding honorees at the 14th Annual AGE Awards Dinner, a gala that is always an affirming event. 

The 2008 AGE Award Honorees:

6th Annual 'Striking a Balance' Caregivers Conference

Presented by Austin Groups for the Elderly and the Area Agency on Aging of the Capital Area. During this conference, participates learn about local resources to help them care for their loved ones and acquire skills that help them better manage their caregiving situation. Elderhaven Adult Day Care prvides free respite for caregivers on the day of the conference.

This seminar teaches participants to ask for help when needed and how to locate the caregiver support services they need.

Drive Well Seminar

This seminar promotes driver safety and mobility in the community, giving older adults, families and professionals the strength to safely retain the car keys.

Brake Before You Break Forum

The most important resource a family caregiver has is themselves, so it is essential to safeguard this valuable resource. Meet other caregivers and learn about local caregiver support & respite resources, as well as tips for taking care of yourself while caring for others.
